According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam Chemistry Association, 8/8 Vietnamese students participating in the first Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad won medals, including 4 gold medals and 4 silver medals. Vietnam ranked first overall.

Specifically as follows: Do Phu Quoc, Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted, Quang Nam; Nguyen Nguyen Hai, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An; Le Quang Truong, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, Nghe An; Nguyen Huu Tien Hung, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh won Gold Medals.
Student Truong Bao Ngoc, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh province; Student Hoang Tien Cuong, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nam Dinh province; Student Tran Duc Anh, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, Hanoi and Student Giap Vu Son Ha, Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, Bac Giang province won Silver Medals.
The Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad for students under 18 years of age is organized by the Ministry of Preschool and General Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Khorezm region of the Republic of Uzbekistan every two years from 2023.
The exam is organized in two rounds. In round one, students take a theory test consisting of 7 lessons within 5 hours, with a maximum score of 70 points. In round two, students take a practical test within 3 hours, with a maximum score of 30 points.
This year, the Abu Reikhan Beruniy International Chemistry Olympiad was held from June 11-17 with the participation of 15 countries. With 4 Gold Medals and 4 Silver Medals, the Vietnamese delegation ranked first over strong teams such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Brazil, India, Türkiye, etc.
