At the meeting, Cambodian Minister of Information Neth Pheaktra thanked Minister Nguyen Manh Hung for inviting him to attend the 16th AMRI Conference. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, Vietnam would continue to support Cambodia in training programs on broadcasting for reporters, sharing experiences in preventing and handling fake news; building and developing digital platforms for press agencies, media platforms, foreign information, etc.

In response to these proposals, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that Vietnam is willing to share with Cambodia the fields of journalism, foreign information, and experience in preventing and handling fake news.

According to Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, Vietnam has schools that train in journalism and is ready to accompany and support professional training courses for reporters and editors of Cambodian newspapers. At the same time, it can send documents and send teachers to support Cambodia in the field of information and communication.

Minister Nguyen Manh Hung proposed that the Cambodian Ministry of Information and Communications and the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications coordinate to build an information data portal.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung received a delegation from the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

Mr. Eigo Nomura said that the two countries are currently cooperating closely in many fields, including ICT and postal services. In particular, the postal sector has had 4 cooperation projects, is entering the 5th project and hopes that by the end of this year, the two ministries will continue to build and sign a new cooperation agreement.
