Previously, on December 15, in Kyoto (Japan), a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement on training and developing high-quality human resources for the Vietnamese and Japanese markets took place between Chairman of Kyoto Computer Corporation Wataru Hasegawa and Chairman of CMC Corporation Nguyen Trung Chinh.
According to the agreement, the two corporations agreed to exchange educational models and management experience to help CMC develop CMC Education (CMC Edu) into a global educational organization for training and developing high-quality human resources for Vietnam and Japan. In addition, the two sides will exchange lecturers and students according to their needs, as well as exchange experiences in implementing practical applications of information technology in a digital society following Japan's Society 5.0 model.
Kyoto Computer Institute (KCG), founded in 1963, is the first educational institution to provide computer education in Japan. In 2004, Kyoto Computer Corporation established Kyoto Graduate School of Information Technology (KCGI), the first school to provide graduate-level specialized training in information technology in Japan.
Since 2005, KCG has become a pioneer in implementing advanced E-learning systems, making E-learning courses richer and more diverse. KCG has a team of highly qualified and experienced lecturers, an advanced training environment, modern equipment, and has always been one of the leading information technology training institutions for the past 60 years.
In the cooperation in human resource supply, CMC Group will prioritize recruiting KCG and KCGI graduates to work at CMC Japan in Japan and Vietnam. In addition, CMC Education will exchange and introduce students to study undergraduate programs at Kyoto Computer Institute and graduate programs at KCGI.
Evaluating the new cooperation agreement between CMC and KCG Group, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh said that "this historic cooperation agreement will bring about many effective implementation programs on education and training between the two sides, thereby contributing to training more high-quality, international-class information technology experts for the country in the future".
Mr. Wataru Hasegawa especially emphasized that the signing of the cooperation agreement is a milestone marking the cooperation and development between KCG and CMC. He stated: “We chose to cooperate with CMC because CMC is one of the leading information technology and telecommunications enterprises in Vietnam. This cooperation agreement will be a premise for the two sides to support each other, serving the common interests of research and teaching activities in training high-quality human resources”.
CMC Education is a company under CMC Group operating in the field of education, currently has CMC University and is in the process of developing new training models in the future. CMC University, with the orientation of becoming the first digital university in Vietnam with a scale of 15,000 students by 2030, has enrolled the second course (academic year 2023-2024) with 1,000 students in 6 training majors.
In the 2024-2025 school year, CMC University will open an additional training major in electronics and telecommunications engineering specializing in microchip design to provide human resources according to international standards for Vietnam's semiconductor industry and the global market.
The cooperation with Kyoto Computer Corporation has marked the development and improvement of training quality according to international standards, especially in the field of information technology in Vietnam and many countries around the world, as well as expanding the development of the educational ecosystem of CMC Corporation.
