Vietnam attends the 17th Iran International Tourism Exhibition

Implementing economic diplomacy and cultural diplomacy in 2024, from February 12-15, 2024, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran attended the 17th Iran International Tourism Exhibition at the International Exhibition Center, Tehran (Iran).

This is the most important annual event in the tourism sector of Iran, organized under the auspices of the Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, attracting the participation of about 500 delegates, guests, travel and tourism companies from more than 20 countries.

Countries with developed tourism industries such as Russia, Japan, India, Türkiye, UAE, Central Asian countries: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan... all organized large booths to introduce to visitors to the Exhibition. In Southeast Asia, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, tourism businesses, travel agencies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand... directly went to Iran to support the embassies of the countries to set up booths to display and promote tourism on this occasion.

The opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of this year's exhibition was attended by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Ezzatollah Zarghami, and ambassadors of countries with tourism promotion booths.

Through the Exhibition, the countries, businesses, travel agencies, accommodation companies, and tourism experts present consider this a good opportunity to promote trade, connect cooperation between domestic and international tourism ecosystems; introduce and promote tourism brands and products, provide market information and outstanding landmarks and landscapes of each country to tens of thousands of visitors.

Within the framework of the Exhibition, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran displayed and introduced to Iranian and international friends handicrafts, images and information about famous landscapes, and tour information to Vietnam...

On the very first day, the Vietnamese Embassy booth welcomed hundreds of Iranian and international visitors who were interested in and wanted to learn about Vietnamese handicrafts and tourism products, and wanted to have the opportunity to visit and learn about the history, people and traditional culture of our country.

The booth of the Vietnamese Embassy was honored to welcome Ambassadors of Japan, ASEAN countries and representatives of some Ministries, Departments to visit and learn about the potential, strengths and characteristics of Vietnamese tourism; expressing the desire to visit Vietnam in the near future.

The booth of the Vietnamese Embassy received the attention of many visitors.

On the sidelines of the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Luong Quoc Huy met, exchanged and discussed with delegates, associations and businesses attending the event about opportunities to promote tourism cooperation with Vietnam.

Although it is the Lunar New Year holiday of the year of the Dragon 2024, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran has actively coordinated with the event organizer, and unlike Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the booth of the Vietnamese Embassy was directly carried out by the Embassy's staff from the stage of purchasing artifacts to designing and decorating the booth... the preparation work was very elaborate during Tet, ensuring thoughtfulness, solemnity, and readiness for the opening ceremony on February 12 and during the 4 days of the event.

Through the 17th Iran International Tourism Exhibition, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran will continue to strengthen and expand its network of connections with agencies, businesses, and associations of Iran and other countries to promote tourism cooperation programs and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and other countries in the coming time.
