Attending the Vietnam International Travel Mart Hanoi 2025, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board will introduce the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026) campaign with the theme "Surreal Experience", inviting Vietnamese tourists to explore diverse destinations in Malaysia.

In addition, the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board introduces to Vietnamese tourists special festivals and events taking place throughout 2025. Among them are major festivals such as the Rainforest Music Festival (June 20-22, 2025) in Sarawak, the George Town Festival (August 2-10, 2025) in Penang, the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia 2025 motorcycle race (October 24-26, 2025); the Malaysia Mega Sales shopping festival (June 15-July 31, 2025)...

Coming to the Malaysia booth at the Vietnam International Travel Expo Hanoi 2025, visitors will also receive a free travel guidebook to help plan their ideal trip to Malaysia; enjoy traditional dances performed by the Sarawak art troupe, take photos with the adorable Malay sun bear mascot. Along with that are special promotions, convenient connecting flights from Vietnam and attractive travel packages from leading travel companies in Malaysia.

Malaysia is also actively promoting MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) tourism with the hope of attracting more MICE delegations from Vietnam.

With the Vietnam International Travel Fair Hanoi 2025, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board hopes to attract more Vietnamese tourists, expand the cooperative relationship between the two countries and affirm Malaysia as an ideal destination for Vietnamese tourists in 2026.

According to the Tourism Malaysia Promotion Board, Vietnam is one of the key markets. In 2024, there were 330,189 Vietnamese tourists visiting Malaysia. As of March 2025, there will be a total of 167 direct flights per week connecting Vietnam and Malaysia, contributing to enhancing tourism convenience.

Vietnamese tourists can easily travel to Malaysia from cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang and Phu Quoc with major airlines including Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Batik Air, Vietnam Airlines, and Vietjet Air.
