With the theme “Sustainable tourism, creating the future”, this year’s International Tourism Fair of the city identifies the strategic vision of Vietnam’s tourism industry in general and Ho Chi Minh City tourism in particular as developing sustainable tourism, not only based on economic benefits but also in harmony with cultural, social and environmental values.

Accordingly, ITE HCMC 2024 will focus on promoting practical solutions and support policies for sustainable tourism; at the same time, creating cooperation opportunities for regions, areas and countries to develop a sustainable future through tourism.

In addition, a series of seminars, conferences and forums revolving around this topic to provide many practical solutions, propose effective policies and strategies, contributing to promoting sustainable tourism development are also continuously organized within the framework of the event such as: "Net Zero Green Tourism - Creating the Future", "Empowering local communities through sustainable tourism", "Orientation to promote sustainable tourism development through ESG", "The power of communication in building and promoting sustainable development", "Responsible tourism associated with protecting nature, wildlife and saying no to ivory"...

Over the course of three working days, the fair will set up more than 10,000 business appointments. Each meeting is arranged based on the business needs of the units, ensuring relevance and maximizing business results.

The online appointment booking system will be available from August 20 to September 20, allowing international buyers to easily arrange and manage their appointments online before the event. In addition, to enhance the experience, the ITE HCMC 2024 application, a powerful assistant for buyers, has also been upgraded with many unique features.

To date, a total of more than 450 exhibitors and 200 international buyers from 33 countries and territories have confirmed their participation in the flagship event: the Hosted Buyer International program, expected to increase by more than 10% compared to 2023.

This growth partly shows the effectiveness of international trade activities at ITE HCMC Fair.

This year, ITE HCMC 2024 continues to record the active participation of buyers who are consulting organizations, tourism influencers, leaders, tour operators, travel and tourism experts as well as destination management companies, travel technology companies, airlines... that are or have the potential to bring visitors to Vietnam.

According to the Organizing Committee, the annual Ho Chi Minh City International Tourism Fair is striving to become one of the most influential tourism fairs in Asia, with the participation of many leading organizations and businesses in the world, the attention of prestigious international media agencies and the continuous increase in the quality and effectiveness of the international trade program at the fair.

In parallel with the trade exhibition activities at ITE HCMC 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City International Gift and Souvenir Exhibition 2024 with 100 booths organized by the Department of Industry and Trade will also take place for 3 days at the A2-SECC exhibition area.

At the same time, with the goal of closely connecting shopping and tourism, building Ho Chi Minh City into an attractive branded shopping destination not only for city residents but also increasingly attracting domestic and foreign tourists, accompanying this year's ITE HCMC Fair, the Department of Industry and Trade also launched the Shopping Season 2024 City Sale program from August 30 to September 8 at 3 major shopping centers: Union Square Building, Science and Technology Building, SC VivoCity Shopping Center with diverse items discounted up to 80%.
