Vietnam achieves high results at International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad

Participating in the first International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad in 2024, Vietnamese students excellently won 1 Silver Medal and 1 Bronze Medal.

On August 15, information from the Vietnamese student delegation participating in the 2024 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad said that both teams Vietnam 1 and Vietnam 2 excellently won medals.

Specifically, in the Science competition, Vietnam team 2 from the High School for the Gifted (Ho Chi Minh City National University) won the Silver Medal; Vietnam team 1 from Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted (Hanoi) won the Bronze Medal.

With this achievement, Vietnam ranked 6th in the world in the medal tally after Russia, Poland, Singapore, China, and Hungary.

Vietnam Team 2 from Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University) won the Silver Medal.

The first World Artificial Intelligence Olympiad was held in Burgas, Bulgaria from August 9 to 15, attracting about 40 teams from more than 30 countries and territories. The first AI Olympiad was held globally, similar to traditional Olympic competitions in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, and Biology. This shows the fundamental importance of artificial intelligence.
