(Dan Tri) - Among the 9 national excellent students with the highest math scores in the country, there are no representatives from specialized schools in Hanoi.

According to the results of the national high school exam for excellent students in the 2024-2025 school year, the valedictorian in math is a grade 11 student from the National University of Education High School for the Gifted. This candidate scored 33.5 points, 1 point more than the runner-up from Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted - Nghe An.

In 3rd place is a grade 11 student from Gifted High School - Ho Chi Minh City National University with 32 points.

Also in 4th place with 31.5 points are 11th grade students from Lam Son High School for the Gifted - Thanh Hoa and 12th grade students from Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted.

Thanh Hoa has another representative in the top 9 with 30.5 points, the same score as a student from Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted, Quang Nam.

The last two positions in the top 9 rankings are representatives of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted - Khanh Hoa (30 points) and High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences - Hanoi National University (29.5 points).

In this year’s national high school exam, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted led the country in the number of valedictorians. The school had four valedictorians: valedictorian of physics (35.75 points); valedictorian of history (17.75 points), valedictorian of geography (17 points) and co-valedictorian of English (16.4 points).

Next is the University of Education High School for the Gifted with 3 valedictorians: Valedictorian in math (33.5 points); Valedictorian in biology (31 points); co-valedictorian in English (16.4 points).

Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has 2 valedictorians in chemistry (35.375 points) and French (17.8 points).

The remaining valedictorians come from the following schools: Thang Long - Da Lat Specialized High School, Lam Dong (IT), Foreign Language Specialized High School (Japanese), Le Hong Phong Specialized High School, Ho Chi Minh City (Literature), Thai Nguyen Specialized High School (Russian), Tran Phu Specialized High School, Hai Phong (Chinese).

This year, the 10 provinces and cities with the highest number of students winning prizes are: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Vinh Phuc and Thua Thien - Hue.
