Cooperation in the field of foreign information will further strengthen cooperation in the field of information and communication, contributing to promoting the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

The two sides wish to promote cooperation between the two state management agencies on foreign information and at the same time implement the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Foreign Communications Cooperation Agreement between the Department of Information Dialogue, Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Department of Mass Communications, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

After the talks, the two sides reached agreements such as: strengthening cooperation between the parties in the field of foreign information, in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of each country and on the basis of the principles of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit.
The areas in which both sides wish to cooperate include: Social management through information and communication; Digital transformation in the field of foreign information; Training in foreign information services, international communication cooperation; Organizing or participating in international communication events, promoting the image of each country and its people, and other issues agreed upon by both sides.
The two sides will strengthen cooperation between the parties in the field of foreign information, in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of each country and on the basis of the principles of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit.
Regarding the form of cooperation, the two sides agreed to regularly exchange information on the latest achievements, progress and development plans in the field of foreign information; Create conditions for the mass media and foreign information agencies of the two countries to publish news about the two countries; Encourage the foreign information press agencies of the two countries to establish direct relationships, exchange delegations, provide mutual technical assistance and exchange professional experience; Exchange delegations at all levels, exchange delegations of reporters to learn about models of applying digital transformation in the field of journalism in general and foreign information in particular, serving the development process in each other's countries.
The two sides also agreed to regularly coordinate the organization of bilateral and multilateral events, meetings, exchanges; exhibitions; training courses, workshops, seminars on foreign information; and other forms of cooperation in the field of foreign information.
