Residents of the building were evacuated to a nearby kindergarten after the attack to stabilize the situation. Most returned to their homes after dawn and the fire risk was eliminated.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that its air defense forces shot down 20 Ukrainian attack drones in the Moscow, Tula, Kaluga and Bryansk regions in the early morning of November 26.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced that “an attempted terrorist attack was thwarted” overnight, confirming that at least 11 UAVs were intercepted in four regions southwest of Moscow.

Earlier this month, a Ukrainian general in charge of UAV operations announced that Kiev was preparing for a large-scale UAV offensive against Russia this winter, as the ground war is expected to lull due to harsh weather conditions.

On November 25, Ukraine accused Russia of carrying out the “largest ever” drone attack, with most of the targets located in the capital Kiev. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed to have intercepted more than 70 Russian drones in just one night.
