Artist Vu Linh passed away on March 5 at his home in Phu Nhuan (HCMC) surrounded by his family and colleagues. His funeral took place on March 6.
Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan - the artist's biological daughter - along with artists Vu Luan, Binh Tinh and relatives were present at the funeral of artist Vu Linh. This was the first time that artist Vu Linh's biological daughter appeared in public.

Sharing with Zing , Ms. Hong Loan (37 years old) said that for the past two weeks, she has been at the hospital taking care of her father. On March 5, artist Vu Linh's health became worse and he wanted to be taken home.
Ms. Hong Loan and her adopted children and colleagues stayed with artist Vu Linh until he passed away.
"For many years, my father kept the information a secret because he wanted me to have a peaceful life. I also lived a private life, not following my father's acting career. Only relatives and a few close colleagues knew about my appearance," she shared.
Ms. Hong Loan said that she is now married and lives in District 7 (HCMC). She still regularly contacts and visits her father. Artist Vu Linh also always cares for and helps his daughter.
When artist Vu Linh discovered her father's illness, she was sad but often gave words of encouragement. Ms. Hong Loan said that currently, she is focusing on arranging her father's funeral.
Artist Vu Linh, whose real name is Vo Van Ngoan, was born in 1958 and was once a famous face of the Cai Luong stage. He showed his talent early. Since 1988, Vu Linh has collaborated with the Tran Huu Trang 2 Cai Luong Theater.
Vu Linh has collaborated with many famous female artists of the Cai Luong stage such as Phuong Hong Thuy, Tai Linh, Thanh Thanh Tam, Ngoc Huyen, Thoai My, Thanh Hang. He and Tai Linh are considered a "childhood sweethearts" couple, performing many works such as Xu an Bang Quy Phi, Than Nu dang Ngu Linh Ky, Thai Tu Dan cross-dressing, Tram Trinh An .
In recent years, due to old age and poor health, Vu Linh no longer appears on stage to perform.
