(HBĐT) - Having heard a lot about Ninh Thuan, a land considered a highlight in the tourism picture of the Central region, although we know that the summer here is "as hot as a fire...", we still headed straight to Phan Rang - Thap Cham. Go to know, to enjoy and experience the "rare and hard to find" specialties of this colorful land.
Tourists visit and experience Rai cave tourist site in Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province.
Ninh Thuan is a province in the South Central Coast region, located in the national tourist cluster of the Da Lat - Nha Trang - Phan Rang tourist triangle. Therefore, this sunny and windy land is considered by travelers as a unique destination in the chain of tourism products in the South Central region.
Our first destination was Vinh Hy Bay in Ninh Hai District, about 40km from Phan Rang - Thap Cham City. Reaching the shore of the bay, we were amazed to see that this place still retains the wild, majestic beauty of mountains, forests and sea, which is considered by the locals as the "end of the mountains and seas" of Ninh Thuan Province. Taking a glass-bottom boat to Vinh Hy Bay to see the corals and then boarding a raft to enjoy typical dishes made from seafood whose names sound strange, many tourists exclaimed: This is truly one of the attractive tourist destinations on the S-shaped strip of land!
On the way back to Phan Rang, we visited Rai Cave, a beautiful tourist destination in Vinh Hai Commune, Ninh Hai District. Possessing a majestic and impressive natural beauty, Rai Cave is considered a rare "paradise". The poetic blue coastline, long stretches of white sand and stone embankments seem to have been stacked on top of each other by ancient human hands. Half of Rai Cave is a towering mountain range, the golden rocks create a strange flexibility. The other half is a jumbled, pleasing rock mass. Called Rai Cave but walking forever without seeing any cave, Mr. Ngo Minh Quoc, an officer of Nui Chua National Park said: In the past, there were many species of otters living here, so the locals called it Rai Cave. Originally, Rai Cave was a deep, wide cave, although there were many squids, no one dared to come and catch them, so the otters considered this an "inviolable" territory. By the 80s of the last century, due to human impact and geological changes, the otter species had completely disappeared. Thanks to the geological formation of limestone rocks and the erosion of wind and sea water, beautiful coral reefs and beaches were created. When we arrived here, the sun was high, spreading sparkling rays of light on the sea surface. The whole sea seemed to light up, and tourists took the opportunity to capture beautiful moments in this place with beautiful scenery and unique and strange place names.
Heading straight to Phan Rang - Thap Cham, we did not forget to stop by the vineyard to enjoy fresh grapes, grape jam and cups of honey and rich grape syrup. In the afternoon, we strolled on Ninh Chu beach (locals call it Ninh Chu beach) to immerse ourselves in the turquoise water, play with the waves lapping the shore, and feel the open, incredibly relaxing space. In the evening, enjoy an outdoor meal and interact with artists to learn about the culture of the Cham people.
A day with sunshine, wind and the soothing sound of the ocean waves, at night we had a good night's sleep to continue our journey to visit the special national relic site at 7:30 the next day: Poklong Garai Cham Tower. Poklong Garai Tower is a unique architectural work built in the late 13th century, early 14th century. This place worships the god Poklong Garai - a king of the Cham people who reigned from 1151 - 1205.
It is known that on November 29, 2022, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) listed "Cham pottery art" on the list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection. On the journey to learn about Cham culture, we came to Bau Truc pottery village, a small village in Phuoc Dan town, Ninh Phuoc district, to admire the diversity of designs as well as the sophistication of pottery products named Bau Truc. Also on that route, we came to My Nghiep village - a traditional brocade weaving village of the Cham people to shop and give gifts to relatives with beautiful scarves, bags, hats, wallets, headbands, eye-catching motifs. When the sunset fell, we continued our journey to see the electric fields, the sheep leisurely returning to the barn, enjoying moments of relaxation.
Coming to the land of "sunshine and wind" in the changing seasons, we were able to enjoy the most beautiful colors of Ninh Thuan. Although it is a land of abundant sunshine and little rain, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City that night sent us off with a cool shower. That rare rain has entered the poem of author The Hien: "The first rain of the season is rushing / Rushing in the night / The whole summer feeling / Stirringly falling on the threshold / The land stirs with longing / Like drinking too much / Trees bloom with eyes and leaves / Ecstatic and intoxicated". We were ecstatic because of the sound of Paranung drums and the singing rising like fire, because of the beauty of Vinh Hy Bay, splendid yet gentle, of Thap Cham, majestic yet captivating... Looking forward to the day we return!
