Hong Ha Stationery donated 4 billion VND to students and teachers in flood-affected areas

Recently, on September 14-15, 2024, Hong Ha Stationery accompanied the delegation of leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training to directly visit and present gifts to schools and departments of education and training that suffered heavy damage after storm No. 3 Yagi in 06 provinces: Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lang Son, Cao Bang. More than a week after the storm and flood passed, the pain and loss of life and property of the people is still there. Many students have passed away forever or are missing and have not been found. Many schools are still flooded, facilities are severely damaged, teaching equipment, books and school supplies are seriously affected, causing teaching and learning to be interrupted. Teachers and students here are struggling to overcome the severe consequences of the storm and flood.

Only by going directly to the areas affected by the storm and flood and witnessing the terrible devastation of the storm with our own eyes can we better understand the pain and loss of the people. The education sector in Lang Son province alone estimated the damage at 3.2 billion VND, 78 schools at all levels were flooded. In Lao Cai, 35 students have passed away or are still missing, 15 others are suffering from injuries, more than 600 families are facing countless difficulties. In Yen Bai: 53 people died, 1 person is missing and many people were injured from serious to minor, the damage is up to thousands of billions of VND...

The trips containing the hearts of Hong Ha Stationery staff have come to the education sector of provinces and cities that suffered serious consequences of storm No. 3. With the spirit of mutual love and support, Hong Ha Stationery wishes to share some of the difficulties, adding motivation to help students and teachers quickly stabilize teaching and learning, and return to school soon. During the 2 days of September 14-15, 29024, Hong Ha Stationery presented:
  • Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang provinces: 30,000 sets of school supplies with a total value of 900 million VND
  • Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces: 30,000 sets of school supplies worth 900 million VND
  • Cao Bang and Lang Son provinces: 30,000 sets of school supplies including notebooks, pens, notebooks... worth 900 million VND to teachers and students.
In addition to the gifts of essential items for studying and teaching, Hong Ha Stationery also provided cash support to schools and the Department of Education and Training to purchase equipment damaged by storms and floods, and to quickly restore teaching and learning in schools. Hong Ha Stationery and the Ministry of Education and Training will continue their volunteer journey to 02 flood-affected provinces in the next few days.
