On the afternoon of September 19, in Ha Long City, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province, term XII, 2024-2029, held a ceremony to launch and deploy the activities of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law, term XII, 2024-2029. Comrade Nguyen Van Hoi, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee attended and directed the conference.
The Democracy - Law Advisory Council is one of the two Councils of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province, with the function of advising and assisting the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province on issues of activities and contents of the Front's work related to the fields of democracy and law. The Democracy - Law Advisory Council of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province, term XII, 2024 - 2029, is chaired by comrade Le Cao Long, Chairman of the Provincial Bar Association.
During the 2019 - 2024 term, the organization and operation of the Democracy - Law Advisory Council of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee have achieved many important results, basically meeting the requirements for consultation and advice on the field of democracy - law for the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to study and propose opinions to the Party Committee and the government on issues of guidelines, policies and laws according to its functions, tasks and powers. Typically: Draft Land Law (amended); Draft Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level... At the same time, the Council has also promoted its core role, actively participating in the process of organizing social supervision and criticism; actively and proactively coordinating with each other in the fields of consultation, promoting intelligence and capacity in the fields of work, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of the Council's operations.
At the conference, members of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province, term XII, 2024 - 2029, focused on discussing to reach an agreement on the Regulations on the operation of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law in the term 2024 - 2029, in which the responsibilities of the Executive Board as well as each member of the Council will be clearly assigned.
In the new term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh province requests the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law for the 2024-2029 term to make efforts to fulfill the assigned tasks. Continue to study the Party's policies and the State's legal policies to advise the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; actively participate in the Front's social supervision and criticism activities; boldly propose inappropriate policies to recommend to the relevant agencies for consideration, contributing to enhancing the position and promoting the role of the Front in participating in Party and government building.
