On the morning of July 19, in Muong Khuong district, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee held a conference to review the inspection and supervision work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

Attending the conference were comrade Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Nguyen Van Phuc, member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; chairmen and deputy chairmen of the inspection committees of party organizations under the Provincial Party Committee.
According to the report of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, in the first 6 months of 2024, inspection commissions at all levels in the province have performed well their advisory functions, helping Party committees develop inspection and supervision programs for 2024. As a result, in the first 6 months of the year, inspection commissions at all levels conducted inspections of 360 party organizations and 1,155 party members; inspected 10 party organizations and 25 party members when there were signs of violations. As for the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, through inspections, it was concluded that 7 party organizations and 23 party members had violated, of which 1 party organization and 13 party members had to be considered for disciplinary action, and 1 party organization and 9 party members were disciplined.
Inspection committees at all levels have inspected the implementation of Party discipline enforcement in 38 Party organizations; inspected the finances and budgets of 13 Party organizations; inspected the collection, payment, management and use of Party fees of 146 Party organizations and 1,670 Party members.
Regarding supervision work, Party committees and inspection committees at all levels have conducted supervision of 419 Party organizations and more than 1,070 Party members; focused on resolving complaints and denunciations; in the first half of 2024, Party committees and inspection committees at all levels have disciplined 4 Party organizations in the form of warnings and reprimands; 156 Party members were reprimanded, warned, and expelled. In addition, anti-corruption work is regularly focused on.
At the conference, delegates focused on the following contents: Inspection of party organizations and party members; information gathering for handling, resolving and considering inspection decisions when there are signs of violations against party organizations and party members; thematic supervision work...
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, proposed that in the coming time, Party committees and inspection committees at all levels need to continue implementing documents of the Central Committee and the Central Inspection Committee on inspection and supervision work, especially implementing Conclusion No. 34-KL/TW dated April 18, 2022 of the Politburo on the Party's inspection and supervision strategy to 2030.
It is necessary to clearly demonstrate the determination to prevent, repel, and strictly handle cadres and party members who have degraded in ideology, politics, morality, lifestyle, and self-evolution and self-transformation within the Party; focus on performing the tasks of inspection, supervision, and disciplinary enforcement within the Party in a synchronous and effective manner. The Inspection Committee advises and helps the Party Committee to effectively implement Article 30 of the Party Charter and Resolution 4 of the Central Committee in conjunction with the task of inspecting the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle.
Some other important tasks are to organize well the inspection and supervision of asset and income declarations according to plan; pay attention to areas prone to violations such as land management and use, mineral resources, basic construction, personnel work, practicing thrift and combating waste. Expand supervision activities at all levels; well implement the coordination regulations between inspection committees at all levels and relevant agencies, departments and branches; unify the implementation of the inspection and supervision program to ensure comprehensiveness and avoid overlap.
