Once priced at several hundred million VND for a model in the early stages of market launch, in recent years, the price of OLED TVs has gradually "cooled down" and expanded accessibility to many consumers. Sharing at the event to launch a new series of TVs in 2024 in the Vietnamese market on May 23, Mr. Song Ikhwan - General Director of Sales and Marketing of LG Electronics Vietnam revealed that the selling price of OLED TVs may decrease compared to the present.
Reducing OLED TV prices is one of the strategies that will be implemented in Vietnam.
Specifically, LG's leaders said that in the strategy to maintain its position in the Vietnamese TV market in the coming time, LG has set two goals. "The first is to reduce the price of OLED TVs, and the second is to bring TV products with unique experiences, more in line with the needs of the Vietnamese market and users," Mr. Song Ikhwan emphasized.
At the event, LG also launched many new TV models that will be sold in Vietnam in 2024, including OLED evo M4 - the world's first OLED TV model with 4K wireless connection up to 144 Hz thanks to a wireless signal transceiver box (Zero Connect Box) placed up to 9 m away from the TV. This design helps to minimize connection wires, reduce clutter and bring convenience to the installation space and arrangement of peripheral devices.
There are also other OLED lines including G4, C4, B4 with a variety of screen sizes, from 42 inches to 97 inches. The 2024 QNED series models also available in Vietnam are QNED80, 86, 89, 91, 99 in sizes from 43 to 98 inches. The highlight of the LG QNED 2024 TV line also comes from Million Gray Scale technology (one million shades of gray) that can adjust the detailed brightness for each small image block, increasing contrast and color accuracy.
The above product lines are all equipped with new generation processors, providing AI performance many times higher than the previous model, improving both graphics performance and processing speed. WebOS continues to be the operating system integrated on the company's products, with additional security enhancements and a commitment to operating system updates for 5 consecutive years.

A notable detail also confirmed by LG leaders at the event is that with the new TV lines, the remote control (often called "flying mouse" in Vietnam) will integrate a quick access key to the VTVGo application according to regulations of the management agency.
Applied to TV production more than 10 years ago, OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) technology has gradually proven the correctness of manufacturers when deciding to follow this path. Many studies and surveys show that OLED panels are more durable than some other technologies, light weight, contributing significantly to changing the shape of modern TVs.
In addition, OLED screens also consume less power, while providing "deep" blacks and a wider color gamut than older technologies. Thanks to not using a backlight, OLED's contrast is also high and the viewing angle is nearly 90 degrees wide without changing the color quality.
Recently, Apple also decided to put OLED panels on the newly launched iPad Pro line, instead of using miniLED as before. Many reviewers around the world have conducted tests to see why Apple uses this technology on its "best-selling" tablet products.
