In 2024, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology will increase its enrollment quota by 920, planning to recruit three new majors and programs, including Game Design and Development.
On March 6, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology announced that it would enroll 5,200 students for 22 majors and training programs, including three new majors and programs: Public Relations, Game Design and Development, and Vietnam-Japan Information Technology. Compared to last year, the school's enrollment target increased by 920.
The Game Design and Development program was prepared by the Academy last year because it realized that the market was lacking highly qualified human resources in the game industry. Meanwhile, not many schools have a separate training program for this industry, mainly integrated into the Information Technology program.
The Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology still uses four admission methods, similar to last year, including direct admission; based on the capacity assessment test scores of two national universities and the thinking assessment of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (20% of the total target); combined admission (30%); based on high school graduation exam scores (50%).
With the combined admission method, candidates need to have an SAT certificate of 1130/1600 or ACT of 25/36 points or higher, with an average score of 7.5 in three years of high school, and good conduct or higher.
If you have an English certificate IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 65 or TOEFL ITP from 513 points or higher or have participated in the national excellent student exam, won third prize at the provincial level or higher in Math, Physics, Chemistry, IT, you will also be considered for combined admission. The conditions for academic ability and conduct are similar to the above. In case you are only a student majoring in Math, Physics, Chemistry, IT, you need to have a report card score of over 8.
With the method of considering scores of separate exams, candidates must achieve 75/150 or 600/1200 points, respectively for the exams of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University or higher. If using the thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the floor score is 50/100 or higher.
Admission criteria and combinations for majors of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology are as follows:
Last year, the highest benchmark score based on the high school graduation exam scores of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology was 26.59, in the Information Technology major (northern campus). Other majors in the north all had benchmark scores of 23.76 or higher. At the southern campus, the benchmark score ranged from 18 to 25.1, with the lowest being the Control and Automation Engineering major.
Tuition fees at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology last year were around VND24.5-27.8 million for the general program. For the high-quality program in Information Technology, the average tuition fee was around VND42 million a year; the Bachelor of Information Technology program with an application orientation was around VND30.5 million.
