This morning, June 1, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri held a ceremony to honor and reward 44 national excellent students (HSGQG) and 3 students who won prizes at the National Science and Technology Competition for the 2023-2024 school year.

Ms. Ha Le Chi, Vice Principal of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Vice President of the National Council for Training Excellent Students in Grade 12 of Quang Tri Province for the 2023-2024 school year, said that in the National Excellent Student Competition for the 2023-2024 school year, the number and awards of Quang Tri students increased, affirming that the quality of the province's key education is increasingly improving. Accordingly, the whole province has 72 students from 9 teams of the following subjects: Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography and English participating in the competition.
There were 44 students winning prizes, accounting for 61% of the total number of students participating in the contest. Among them, 1 First Prize in Informatics went to Le Thien Quan, a 12th grader in Informatics at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, who was invited to participate in the international contest; 5 Second Prizes (2 Informatics, 1 Physics, 1 Literature and 1 Geography); 21 Third Prizes and 17 Encouragement Prizes.

At the national Science and Technology competition, two topics of students from Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted included: Tran Ngoc Long, a 11th grade Physics student, won the national first prize and was sent to the international competition; the group of students Le Duc Luu and Nguyen Ngoc Anh Tuan won the national third prize.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Mai Huy Phuong highly appreciated the tireless efforts of the province's teachers and students to achieve this meaningful result. This is the inheritance and promotion of the tradition of studiousness, the result of innovation in the selection and training of teams participating in the national excellent student competition.

At the ceremony, 27 students who won first, second and third prizes in the 2023-2024 National High School Selection Exam received certificates of merit from the Minister of Education and Training. 59 groups and individuals with outstanding achievements received certificates of merit from the Department of Education and Training.
On this occasion, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education also awarded prizes to national excellent students.
