Arbitrarily transferring schools, a principal in Kien Giang was suspended from work

On August 29, a source from Vinh Thuan District Party Committee said that it had directed the People's Committee of this district regarding the case of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - Principal of Thi Tran Secondary School. The reason: Mr. Phong arbitrarily transferred the school's facilities to Vinh Thuan Town Primary & Secondary School (old) without the opinion of the District People's Committee, causing bad public opinion among the people. At the same time, it was directed to urgently conduct an inspection of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong's responsibility and have a specific conclusion; if there are any violations, they will be handled according to current regulations.

The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee requested to stop the transfer of the Town Secondary School (transferring cadres, civil servants, teachers, employees, students and facilities) in Vinh Dong 1 ward, Vinh Thuan town to the Vinh Thuan Town Primary & Secondary School (old) in Vinh Phuoc 2 ward, Vinh Thuan town. Due to the recent implementation process not following the correct procedures, the preparation time was not guaranteed and there was no opinion from the District People's Committee, causing negative public opinion and low consensus among cadres, teachers, and parents.

Previously, on August 23, the People's Committee of Vinh Thuan district informed the press about the incident in which the Principal of Thi Tran Secondary School arbitrarily transferred equipment and facilities to a new school without the consent of the People's Committee of the district. According to the people's reflection, the principal of the school arbitrarily transferred the facilities to the new school without notice, causing many parents to be confused because the new school year was approaching but they did not know which school their children would attend.
