On the afternoon of August 2, in Mong Cai City, the Border Guard Command of Quang Ninh Province (Vietnam) and the Border Guard of Guangxi Region (China) conducted the first bilateral patrol of 2024.

The patrol team of the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard Command, commanded by Colonel Tran Van Thanh, Deputy Commander of the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard, and the patrol team of the Guangxi Border Guard Region (China) commanded by Senior Colonel Lei Hong Phuc, Deputy Team Leader, Guangxi Border Guard Region (China), launched the first bilateral patrol program in 2024.

After the launching ceremony, the bilateral patrol forces of both sides inspected the border system, boundary markers from M1376 to M1378+1650 and related issues in this area.

The two sides inspected the status of the Vietnam-China border markers at sea.
Through inspection, both sides agreed that the border signs and border markers were kept intact, with no signs of displacement or damage. During the patrol, no violations of border regulations within the scope of responsibility were detected and absolute safety was ensured in all aspects.

The patrol process ensures absolute safety of people, weapons, equipment and vehicles.

At the end of the patrol, the two sides held talks to share experiences and signed a bilateral patrol record.

Accordingly, the two sides discussed and agreed on solutions to continue to maintain effective coordination in border management and protection, maintain security and order, strengthen coordination, promptly exchange border-related information, and successfully complete patrol tasks. The two sides also agreed to strengthen education, propaganda, and mobilize people to strictly comply with regulations, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative, stable, and mutually developing border.
