From November 21-22, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the Salavan Provincial Military Command (Laos) to conduct bilateral patrols of the Vietnam-Laos border section, from border marker 634 to border marker 637.
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command, the bilateral patrol team between the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command and the Salavan Provincial Military Command inspected border signs and the safety of the border marker system; cleared patrol routes and cleaned the area around the border markers. At the same time, they exchanged information on security and order in the border area, disseminated information and mobilized people to comply with border and territorial regulations, and raised awareness of protecting the border and border markers.

The inspection showed that the border signs and border markers were intact, with no signs of displacement or damage. People on both sides of the border were stable in their business, economic development, and strictly complied with legal documents on the border between Vietnam and Laos. The patrol did not detect any illegal encroachment, encroachment, exploitation of forest products, or violations of border regulations within the scope of responsibility.

Accordingly, the two sides agreed to coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and functional forces of the two countries to strengthen propaganda, education and mobilization work for people in border areas to comply with and strictly implement the Agreement on Border Management Regulations and Land Border Gates of Vietnam - Laos.
Regularly coordinate and exchange information on border-related situations, crime prevention and control, strengthen patrols, strictly control small-scale routes, trails, and openings, closely coordinate in border management and protection, maintain security and order in border areas, and build a border of solidarity, peace, and friendship.
