After nearly 13 years of working with floss products, Thuong Hoa Food Processing Facility of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong (born in 1978) in residential group 3, Hung Tri ward (Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh) has created trust with consumers.

In 2010, while working at a state agency, due to difficult family economic conditions, Ms. Thuong learned how to make floss to help her children improve their health and to sell to some colleagues and acquaintances to earn extra income.
After the first few failed batches, after a few months, she found her own secret recipe for making floss. Gradually, her regular customers, including neighbors, relatives, and colleagues, began to place more and more orders. From then on, after work, she took the time to make floss to increase her family's income.
In 2023, the output of floss sold by Thuong Hoa Food Processing Facility is 850kg with a price of 700,000 VND/kg, revenue of nearly 600 million VND and profit of nearly 100 million VND.
Ms. Thuong shared: “At first, I only made floss to ensure nutrition and safety for my children. Then, seeing the high demand for clean, safe, processed food, I researched and perfected my own recipe to make and sell to relatives and acquaintances. Over the years, floss products have been trusted by many customers, who have ordered them as gifts and even brought them abroad...”.
To create a quality floss product line from flavor to nutrition, according to Ms. Thuong, the input materials play a very important role. For floss, we must use fresh lean meat from the loin and rump, just taken from the slaughterhouse, still soft and hot; if the meat has been left for a long time, when pounded in a mortar, it will not have a fragrant smell, the quality of the product will be poor...
According to Ms. Thuong, fresh meat must be washed with ozone after being brought home to remove dirt on the meat; the meat marinating process must use traditional fish sauce from Ky Ninh (Ky Anh town) plus ginger, onion, pepper, sugar, MSG...

“Input materials are the decisive factor in product quality. Along with that, to have delicious, rich, and colorful floss while still retaining its natural flavor, the processor must have his own recipe, following the ratio of mixing spices; after drying the meat with a machine, it must be dried on a fire pan one last time so that the floss will have the right aroma,” Ms. Thuong added.
After nearly 13 years of making cotton floss, in early 2023, Ms. Thuong decided to invest nearly 200 million VND, expanding the production area; purchasing more machinery and equipment such as cotton floss beating machine, dryer, steamer... to improve the product quality and scale of the facility. Thanks to serious investment, putting quality and reputation first, on December 14, 2023, cotton floss products under the Thuong Hoa brand achieved 3-star OCOP standards at the provincial level.
Ms. Thuong's beef jerky and imitation beef pork products are also popular with customers.
In 2023, the facility will sell 850kg of floss at a price of 700,000 VND/kg, with a revenue of nearly 600 million VND. Currently, her facility provides jobs for 3 regular workers with an income of 5-6 million VND per month, and many seasonal workers when orders increase...
Not stopping at the familiar product line, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong also researched and produced new products such as: dried beef, dried pork, spring rolls... These products are also currently very popular with customers in the area.
