The information was released at the event announcement ceremony held on the morning of September 11 in Hanoi. Bond live in Vietnam , organized by Nhan Dan newspaper and IB Group Vietnam, will take place at 8:00 p.m. on October 5 at the My Dinh National Convention Center (Hanoi).
This is the second event in the Good morning Vietnam music project series, after Kenny G live in Vietnam in September 2023 initiated by Nhan Dan newspaper.
All ticket sales go to support our compatriots in the North.
Sharing at the event announcement ceremony, journalist Le Quoc Minh, editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, said that the Bond string quartet is no stranger to Vietnamese music lovers.
The group itself has been here twice, once at the Monsoon International Music Festival, and once at a music event organized by a business.
But those two times, they only reached a certain audience, in Vietnam there are still many people who love them.
Mr. Minh said the organizers did not intend to cause any ticket fever, nor was this a noisy, scandalous entertainment event.
"In addition to bringing the world's top music to Vietnam, the main purpose of the Good Morning Vietnam project series is also to raise funds for charity activities," he said. "When we asked Bond about it, they were very welcoming and supportive."
This time the organizers decided to use all the money collected from ticket sales to support the people of the North who are suffering severe consequences from storm No. 3.
Bond Quartet
What is special about Bond live in Vietnam ?
Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, program production director, informed about the special features of Bond live in Vietnam .
The Bond Quartet rarely tours the world, nor do they perform at events with large audiences. They appear most often at music festivals - where there is a wide range of musical styles.
"This is one of the few live concerts with the largest audience in the world for Bond and the first live concert held in our country, completely different from the previous two times they performed in Vietnam," said Mr. Duong.
Mr. Le Quoc Minh added that the Good Morning Vietnam project series brings the highest and purest music, so unlike international music events held in Vietnam, this program will only feature Bond's music, without the participation of Vietnamese artists.
"Among the 20 works, there are many Bond hits, played at the My Dinh National Convention Center, including Victory - a cheerful and bustling instrumental song very familiar in Vietnam," he revealed.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Minh said that getting Bond's nod to come to Vietnam was not easy.
In addition to technical, food, accommodation, and transportation issues, the organizers must meet the group's very detailed requirements, such as "if you meet before the event, do not shake hands too firmly."
Just like the post-event Kenny G live in Vietnam, after the live concert Bond live in Vietnam, the organizers will also film a MV with the participation of this famous quartet.
Like Kenny G's Going Home MV, Bond's MV filmed in Vietnam is also expected to be given to tourism and hotel corporations, airlines, television stations... to spread this music product, contributing to promoting Vietnamese culture and tourism to domestic and international tourists.
String Quartet Bond Comprising Tania Davis (violin), Eos Counsell (violin), Elspeth Hanson (viola) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello), the group is the world's first to pursue a classical fusion genre with classical music played in a vibrant contemporary rhythm.
Active since 2000, Bond has maintained a youthful, modern performance style and maintained its title as the most successful string quartet in world music history.
