The reporter had an interview with Doctor Cung to learn more about the journey of starting to build and develop Doctor Cung's channel on the TikTok platform.
As a doctor with many years of experience in the profession, what inspired you to start your journey of sharing health knowledge on TikTok?

Dr. Cung: My main job is a doctor. In April 2021, amid the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, I turned to TikTok as a way to spread knowledge about disease prevention and health protection to the community. For the past 3 years, my TikTok channel has been a place to share information and specialized knowledge about disease prevention and health protection, especially focusing on reproductive health and gynecological diseases.
With the desire to accompany everyone on a more comprehensive health care journey, after more than a year of working with TikTok, I realized the potential of TikTok Shop and decided to try my hand at a new role: selling health care products. Starting with products specifically for women, I gradually expanded to the whole family, from adults to children, with the desire to bring comprehensive health care solutions to every home.
When I first started doing business on TikTok Shop, I had difficulties in operating, getting used to the platform, the principles of the platform... However, my husband and I explored and learned from the smallest things, overcame the difficulties and were fortunate to be known by many people. At the beginning of developing the channel, because I had a lot of time at home due to social distancing due to the Covid-19 epidemic, I shared 5-6 videos a week, currently I maintain 1 video a week.
Currently, selling through TikTok Shop is one of the dominant business methods in online business. How do you evaluate TikTok's trend as well as TikTok Shop's policy towards sellers?
There is no denying the appeal of TikTok Shop in the current booming online business era. As one of the fastest growing platforms with a huge number of users, TikTok opens up huge opportunities for sellers to reach potential customers.
However, the platform also has its own rules that must be followed. TikTok Shop's policies are quite strict, requiring sellers to carefully study them from the beginning to avoid violations. Even a small mistake during livestream can lead to disconnection or even channel lock.

The pressure to create content is also a difficult problem. To attract and retain viewers, sellers must constantly innovate, create attractive videos, avoid repetition and boredom. Filming quality videos, keeping up with trends also requires skills and investment. To be successful on this platform, sellers need to have serious and systematic investment from building channels, creating content to understanding and complying with TikTok's policies.

Participating in the "Key Profession" program organized by TikTok Shop was an extremely meaningful experience for me. The program has contributed to changing society's perspective on online business, especially livestream sales - a relatively new and not widely recognized profession.
"Key Profession" has given the audience a more realistic and closer look at the work of an Affiliate Marketing Content Creator. Not only are the livestreams fun and engaging, but behind them is a process of serious, creative and hard work. Through the program, people can clearly see the positive values that content creators bring, and at the same time better understand the development potential of the livestream profession in the digital age.
Through the Key Profession program, I hope everyone will have a more correct view of the livestream sales profession.
Can you share your future direction in expanding and developing products on the channel?
Doctor Cung: Currently, my booth has about 200 products. In my opinion, selling many products or one product depends on the business and the business person. It depends on your own strengths. Choosing to focus on your own strengths as a doctor, I want to accompany everyone on the journey of proactive and comprehensive health care.
In the future, I will continue to expand the product portfolio specializing in health, meeting the increasingly diverse needs of customers. In addition, promoting communication and marketing activities will also be focused on to spread health values to more people.
