On January 21, AVP reported that airstrike warnings were issued in areas controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after the Russian military launched a series of missile attacks targeting the cities of Kramatorsk, Slavyansk and Druzhkovka.

On Tuesday evening, a series of explosions occurred in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. Russian missiles targeted military facilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces located far from the front line. The attack was reportedly carried out with Kh-22/32 missiles launched from Russian Tu-22M3 strategic bombers.

The missile hit a temporary deployment post at a gas equipment plant in Druzhkovka. It is reported that at the time of the attack, there were about 15 pieces of equipment and between 200 and 300 soldiers in the affected area. However, exact data on damage and casualties have not been provided so far. Local authorities have also confirmed that the industrial zone was attacked, but details of the incident are not yet clear.

In Kramatorsk, local sources also reported powerful explosions, one of which damaged a water purification station, cutting off the city's water supply.

Information about the aftermath of the attack on Slavyansk is also still limited but has been confirmed by Ukrainian sources.

In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian Armed Forces are also stepping up their attacks. AVP reported that, according to reports from Russian military correspondents and Ukrainian sources, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are making positive progress in the Zaporozhye direction, and Ukrainian units are being pushed back. Currently, the focus of the fighting is the Rabotino settlement, and the fiercest fighting is taking place in the western suburbs. This village, previously under Ukrainian control, is now becoming the scene of important battles.

In addition to Rabotino, the Russian army intensified its offensive north of Novoprokopovka, gaining control of an area 2.2 km wide and advancing 700 m deep. Russia's active use of artillery and aviation helped combat units fight effectively, thereby increasing great pressure on Ukrainian forces.

In addition, the Russian army has also increased its troops in the Verbovoye area and launched a series of attacks on Ukrainian positions.

According to AVP, the outlook for Ukraine is bleak, as in the near future it is likely that Ukrainian forces will continue to be pushed back from previously captured positions.
