NDO - On the afternoon of October 24, within the framework of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign "Joining hands for the woman I love" in 2024, the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow (Ministry of Health) coordinated with sponsors to organize a Breast Cancer Patient Forum with the theme: "Modern beautiful women, not afraid of difficulties".
Breast cancer patient forums are held for “pink warriors” across the country. Through live forums in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, patients are provided with information about diagnosis and treatment, as well as answers to questions during and after treatment. This is also an opportunity for patients and medical staff to interact, share experiences, and spread strength and optimism on the journey to fight the disease.
With the theme “Modern beauty, not afraid of difficulties”, the program brings a profound message about modern women, always loving, taking care of their health proactively, and not afraid of challenges. They are resilient in the face of illness, always keeping faith and hope.
Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hong Quang, Head of Breast Surgery Department, K Hospital shared at the forum. |
The forum is an opportunity to honor the inner strength of each woman. The smiles and optimistic eyes of the “beautiful ladies” are a great source of motivation for all women who are overcoming breast cancer. Each person is not only the main character in their own story but also a source of inspiration for the community.
At the forum, doctors and leading experts in cancer shared new advances in treatment as well as advanced breast reconstruction, which not only helps optimize aesthetic results but also gives patients the opportunity to retain their body beauty, helping them to be more confident after treatment...
Doctors also emphasize the important role of adherence to treatment regimens, which not only helps improve treatment effectiveness but also increases the patient's chances of recovery.
Ms. Minh Huong (47 years old, breast cancer patient) shared: Every time I participate in the forum, it brings me very special values. Not only do I get to update new knowledge about breast cancer treatment from experts, but I also have the opportunity to meet and talk with my fellow patients. The empathy, experience sharing and optimism of everyone are always a great source of motivation to help me feel more confident in my journey to fight the disease.
The "pink warriors" shine confidently. |
Master Nguyen Ba Tinh, Deputy Director of the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow, said that the breast cancer prevention and control communication campaign organized by the Fund and sponsors since 2012 has created an impression as well as contributed to the increasingly effective communication of breast cancer prevention and control. If in the past, more than 70% of breast cancer patients came to the K Hospital for examination and treatment in the late and quite late stages, now the rate of patients coming to the K Hospital for examination and treatment in the early and very early stages has exceeded 75%. That shows the success of the breast cancer prevention and control program, including the contribution of this communication campaign and even higher is the contribution of the sisters who have had the disease and have been treated stably.
