For the first time, the Gifted High School held a closing ceremony with the full participation of nearly 1,900 students. The ceremony took place at the Hoa Binh Theater (District 10) on the morning of May 20.

Proud track record

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai - Principal of the Gifted High School - called the 9-month journey of the school's teachers and students worthy and very proud.

There are 1,880 students with excellent grades out of 1,908 students (98.51%). The rest have good academic performance, there are no average students. The percentage of students with good training is 1,905 students (99.84%).

"We are even more proud of the hundreds of provincial, city and national awards our students have won," the principal said.

In this year’s national high school competition alone, the school had 58 students winning prizes. Of these, there were 3 first prizes in math, biology and literature, along with 13 second prizes and 22 third prizes. Nguyen Hong Anh (grade 10) won first prize in literature with the highest score nationwide.

Along with that are a number of achievements in cultural - sports - art activities. Thai Ngoc Tuong Minh (grade 11) is a national grandmaster, a reserve international chess grandmaster; Nguyen Hoang My (grade 11) is in the top 6 of the 2023 World Youth Chess Championship; Hong Duy Anh (grade 11) and Nguyen Minh Triet (grade 11) won gold medals at the 2023 National High School Sports Tournament in swimming...

The principal believes that the establishment of a school counseling and scientific research department and international cooperation is a special feature.
