(Dan Tri) - The entrance exam for grade 10 of Foreign Language Specialized High School (University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) in 2025 will increase the number of subjects to 4.
On February 28, the University of Foreign Languages (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announced information about the 10th grade entrance exam for the Foreign Language Specialized High School.
The exam will take place on June 1. The specific exam schedule is as follows:

This year, candidates will take 4 subjects. Of which, math, literature, English have coefficient 1 and specialized foreign language has coefficient 2. The time for the literature test is 120 minutes, math and specialized foreign language have test time of 90 minutes and English has test time of 60 minutes.
Candidates eligible to take the exam are students who have completed the secondary school program for the 2024-2025 school year; academic results and training results of secondary school classes are from good or higher; secondary school graduation ranking is from good or higher.
The admission exam is based on the principle of taking the total score from high to low until the quota is full, from the specialized system with scholarships to the specialized system.
Admission score is the total score of all subjects on a 10-point scale, specialized subjects have a coefficient of 2 and are rounded to two decimal places.
Direct admission for junior high school students who have won national prizes organized by the Ministry of Education and Training or in coordination with ministries and ministerial-level agencies organized nationwide for competitions, exams, and contests on culture, arts, and sports; scientific and technical research competitions; Junior high school students who have won prizes in foreign languages in international competitions selected by the Minister of Education and Training.
Students who win first prize in Foreign Language subjects in the provincial/municipal excellent student selection exam organized by the Department of Education and Training will have 1.5 points added to the total admission score.
In 2024, at the Foreign Language Specialized High School, the specialized subject with the highest competition rate for grade 10 at the Foreign Language Specialized High School this year is French. With 35 quotas and 377 applications, the competition level for the French specialized class is 1 to 10.8.
Coming in second place is Chinese with 691 registered candidates, a quota of 70, and a competition ratio of 1/9.9. Coming in third is Korean with 316 registered candidates, a quota of 35, and a competition ratio of 1/9.
English major still has the largest number of applicants with 1,491 applications. However, with a quota of 210 students, the competition rate for this major is only 1/7.1.
