According to Mr. Truong Huu Hiep, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) is currently planning to strengthen cooperation with the Russian Armed Forces.
In an important speech at the Xiangshan Forum, he stated: “We will continue to strengthen trust and strategic cooperation with the Russian military.”
Notably, Mr. Truong Huu Hiep mentioned Russia first in the list of countries with which China plans to develop cooperation.
On the same day, during talks with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu in Beijing, the Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China emphasized the similarities in the stances of Beijing and Moscow in the military field, thereby contributing to the development of relations between the two countries.
In addition, Mr. Truong Huu Hiep shared that the PLA also plans to develop relations with the US armed forces based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation.
According to this official, Beijing wants "peaceful coexistence and mutually beneficial cooperation, and strengthens military relations with the US."
In addition, China is willing to strengthen friendship with the armed forces of African, Latin American, Caribbean and Arab countries, and “expand military exchanges with European countries.”
