Traders buy water mimosa in the field at a price of 10,000-13,000 VND/kg. After deducting costs, growers have a stable profit of 5-8 million VND/acre.

Having 2 hectares of water spinach growing area, Ms. Phan Thi Xuan (Xuan Hiep commune, Tra On district, Vinh Long province) said: Water spinach is easy to grow, requires little care and has little risk in terms of price.

In the dry season, water mimosa has better productivity, while in the rainy season, water mimosa has a lower yield but in return, the selling price is higher.

Because it is a natural aquatic vegetable, requiring little fertilizer or chemical pesticides, water mimosa sells very well. It can be harvested once every 10 days.

However, growers must master the technical process, especially the selection of seeds, processing of golden apple snails, and the timing of fertilization to ensure safety.

According to many households growing water mimosa, water mimosa can be harvested for the first time after 1.5 months of planting, then after 7-10 days it can be harvested again, lasting for 4-5 months.

There are almost no pests or diseases on water spinach, however when growing water spinach in ponds, lakes, or low-lying fields, you need to pay attention to golden apple snails and miscellaneous fish.

After each harvest, just add more fertilizer to help the plant regenerate and recover quickly for the next harvest.
