This morning, December 20, the Quang Tri Provincial Association for Promotion of Education held a conference to review the work of 2023, deploy tasks for 2024 and launch the emulation movement "Each citizen self-study, lifelong learning to meet the requirements of sustainable development in the period of national digital transformation".

In 2023, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education focused on building association activities and developing members. Currently, the province has 2,577 association organizations for promotion of education with a total of 216,652 members, accounting for 32.84% of the population.
The implementation of the Prime Minister's Program 387 and Program 677 has brought about many outstanding results. The province has 125 commune-level community learning centers (CLCs), 768 village-level CLCs with 282 managers, 66 seconded teachers, and 60 collaborators working at the CLCs.
The rate of families registering to build the "Learning Family" model reached over 68%; clans registering to build the "Learning Line" model reached over 63%; villages, hamlets and neighborhoods registering to build the "Learning Community" model reached over 83.5%; units registering to build the "Learning Unit" model reached nearly 92%.
The province has 3,279 citizens successfully registered for citizen learning software accounts. At the commune level, many units have widely deployed software tools to evaluate and recognize learning community titles. The province's Education Promotion Fund has mobilized nearly 40 billion VND and has organized scholarships, support, and rewards for more than 19,013 subjects.
Regarding the key tasks in 2024, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education and grassroots associations will continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the directions of the central government, Party committees, and local authorities on promoting education, promoting talents, and building a learning society.
In particular, effectively implement Plan 135/KH-UBND, dated July 12, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing Program 387 and Program 677. Promote propaganda activities to encourage learning and talent, build a learning society; closely coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to do a good job of encouraging learning and talent in schools. Actively respond to the movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period of 2023 - 2030" launched by the Prime Minister.
At the conference, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education launched the emulation movement "Each citizen self-study, lifelong learning to meet the requirements of sustainable development in the period of national digital transformation". The movement aims to raise people's awareness of the role and importance of self-study, lifelong learning, meeting the requirements of the digital transformation period for each individual and family - one of the decisive factors in building a civilized and happy life.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education awarded certificates of merit to 2 groups and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in promoting education, talent, and building a learning society.
