Deploying an online contest to minimize risks and dangers in cyberspace

Accordingly, the contest guides all people in Thua Thien Hue province to understand the skills to ensure safety in cyberspace in order to raise awareness, provide basic knowledge and skills on network information security and how to identify and prevent forms of fraud in cyberspace.

Sharing at the contest launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, commented: In recent times, the Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Police have proactively deployed many solutions to ensure network information security for people and businesses in the area.

However, fraud and criminal activities in cyberspace still occur frequently, causing serious consequences for people. Therefore, raising awareness among people to ensure information security in daily life is extremely necessary.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh requested that agencies, units and localities in Thua Thien Hue pay attention to accompanying the contest in appropriate forms; have solutions to actively implement and guide people on how to register and log in to participate in the contest to achieve good results. At the same time, mobilize all cadres, civil servants, public employees and people in the locality to respond and participate fully, creating a widespread and useful activity, contributing to minimizing risks and dangers in cyberspace.

The contest is expected to become an annual event, encouraging all classes of people to participate and bring the movement into life.

Contestants include all residents in Thua Thien Hue province (with Hue- S/VNeID accounts). Contest content includes basic information security knowledge and skills; identification and skills to prevent fraud and property appropriation in cyberspace; skills to use social networks safely;...

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Contest officially takes place from now until September 1, 2024.

The exam format is a multiple choice test directly on the Hue-S application.

The contest will have 54 individual prizes, including: 01 First Prize (20 million VND); 01 Second Prize (10 million VND); 02 Third Prizes (5 million VND); 50 Encouragement Prizes (1 million VND). In addition, the individuals who win the Prize will receive a Certificate of Merit from the Contest Organizing Committee.

This is a practical and meaningful activity that contributes to raising awareness and skills to ensure information security in cyberspace, contributing to the effective implementation of information security work locally.
