Giving Tet gifts to teachers and students in difficult circumstances in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts

On December 27 and 28, the Red Cross Society of Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the Quang Tri Education Trade Union and the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri Province, organized the programs "Spring on the Border" and "Spring of Reunion - Spring of Sharing" in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts.

In Dakrong district, the program presented 2 clean water tanks to Dakrong High School and A Rong school, Krong Klang town Primary School; 100 gifts to support disadvantaged students in the district.

In Huong Hoa district: the program awarded 20 scholarships to support students in difficult circumstances (worth 1 million VND/scholarship); 200 gifts to support students in difficult circumstances and 20 gifts to support teachers with serious illnesses working in the district (worth 2 million VND/scholarship). The gifts included cash and in-kind.

The total cost of the program is over 250 million VND. The gifts from the units are a source of spiritual encouragement to help cadres, teachers, workers with serious illnesses and disadvantaged students with good academic performance in Huong Hoa and Dakrong districts to have a happier and warmer spring.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers and paid tribute to heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives while on duty at Economic - Defense Group 337 in Huong Phung commune, Huong Hoa district.
