Among the 20 students receiving medals, 10 received the First Class Labor Medal and 10 received the Third Class Labor Medal.
This morning (December 29), the Ministry of Education and Training held a meeting to honor students who won prizes in the 2024 International Science and Technology Olympiads.
Speaking at the meeting, Professor Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training), said that in 2024, Vietnam will send 7 delegations to compete in international and regional Olympics, with a total of 38 students participating.
The results achieved exceeded previous years with 12 gold medals, 15 silver medals, 10 bronze medals and 1 certificate of merit (an increase of 4 gold medals and 3 silver medals compared to the previous year).
"The most outstanding achievements are the achievements of the international Biology, Chemistry, Informatics teams and the Asian Physics team. What is more encouraging is that the practical exam scores of the Vietnamese teams have all improved and increased significantly," said Mr. Chuong.
With these achievements, the President awarded the Labor Medal to 20 outstanding students, including:

Deputy Minister Chi said that the Ministry of Education and Training has been implementing many programs and policies to encourage students to be passionate about scientific research, maximize their creative potential; and at the same time build an open, inclusive and developing educational environment.
