Awarding scholarships to support ethnic minority and poor students

On November 7, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Lao Dong Newspaper to award scholarships from the program "Scholarships to support ethnic minority and poor students" in Ninh Thuan province. Attending were comrades: Truong Hoa Binh, former Politburo member, former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Honorary Chairman of the program "Proud of the National Flag"; Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the program, comrades: Truong Hoa Binh, Le Huyen, leaders of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, leaders of provincial departments and agencies and sponsors awarded 100 scholarships to ethnic minority students and poor students in the province. The total value of the scholarships is 200 million VND.

On behalf of the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave an overview of the situation, outstanding results, difficulties and limitations in the province's socio-economic development in the first 9 months of 2023. He sincerely thanked the program "Scholarship to support ethnic minority students and poor students" managed and operated by the Lao Dong Newspaper and Mr. Truong Hoa Binh personally for his special attention and support for students in the province in the past time.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that this is an important program, a great source of material and spiritual encouragement, helping ethnic minority students and poor students in the province have more confidence and determination to excel in their studies and training to realize their dreams, becoming useful people for their families and society.

On this occasion, the program donated 50 million VND to the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, thereby contributing to helping the Association effectively implement programs to promote education and talent, promote the lifelong learning movement and build a learning society in the province in the coming time.
