The “Hai Duong Aspirations and Development” press award is large-scale, with a total of 370 entries from 131 authors and groups of authors from 29 central and local press agencies, more than the previous award. Through the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 174 works (43 serial works) for judging. Of which, there are 25 printed works, 57 visual works, 89 electronic works and 3 audio works.
The jury highly appreciated the quality of the entries. Many entries were close to the theme, had discovery, and promoted the image, potential, strengths, products, and development strategies of Hai Duong province; the province's investment attraction mechanisms and policies; and provided information on many aspects in various fields, contributing to promoting the image of Hai Duong so that the province can develop more and more, gradually realizing the development aspirations of the Party Committee, government, and people of Hai Duong province.
After summarizing the results of the judging, the delegates discussed thoroughly and unanimously voted to select 27 outstanding works to award prizes. Of these, there were 3 A prizes, 3 B prizes, 6 C prizes and 15 consolation prizes; there were no special prizes. Hai Duong Newspaper was honored to have 4 works winning prizes.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang emphasized that in recent times, although Hai Duong has encountered many difficulties, obstacles and challenges, with the timely support and assistance of the Central Government and provinces and cities across the country, the high determination of all levels, sectors, business communities and people, the socio-economic situation of the province has achieved quite comprehensive results, completing and exceeding the set targets. The achievements of Hai Duong province in recent years, especially in 2023, have been greatly contributed by the enthusiastic support, encouragement and responsibility of press and media agencies inside and outside the province.
The press and media agencies have provided timely, extensive, high-quality information in diverse forms of expression, in accordance with the direction and orientation of the Party, the State and Hai Duong province, focusing on key issues, major tasks that the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province are implementing in all fields, creating high consensus among the people. The propaganda results of the press agencies have contributed to promoting the image of the homeland, the land and the people of Hai Duong; attracting investment, gradually realizing the "aspiration for development" of the Party Committee, the government and the people of Hai Duong.
Emphasizing that 2024 will be a year with many favorable opportunities, the provincial planning has been approved by the Prime Minister..., in response to the development requirements of the province and to make the image of Hai Duong land and people beautiful and attractive in the hearts of domestic and international friends, the provincial leaders are focusing on leadership and direction with the spirit of the highest effort for the common development of the province, for the prosperity of the people.
He requested journalists and reporters from central and local press agencies to promote the role of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, always accompanying, promptly reflecting objectively, honestly, and highly topical, clearly demonstrating the role of a reliable information channel and forum for the people. At the same time, it is a channel providing information and multi-dimensional dialogue to effectively serve the leadership, direction, and administration of Hai Duong province's leaders.
In order for the image of Hai Duong province's aspiration for development to continue to spread, to be a positive source of energy contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, the 13th National Party Congress and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang launched the "Hai Duong Aspiration for Development" Press Award next year.
The three works that won A prize include: Rivers: Thai Binh River by a group of authors Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Nguyen Duc Hoan (Hai Duong Radio and Television Station); What to do to effectively implement the arrangement of commune-level administrative units? by a group of authors Truong Thi Xe, Hoang Van Bien, Nguyen Thi Thao, Vu Van Dat, Pham Thi Tuyet (Hai Duong Newspaper); Creating a "runway" for Hai Duong to "take off" by a group of authors Nguyen Thi Hien Hoa, Ngo Thi Tuyet Nhung, Nguyen Thanh Chung, Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen, Nguyen Thi Thu (Vietnam Communist Party Electronic Newspaper).
The 3 works that won the B prize include: Series of 3 articles: New wave of migration (Hai Duong Newspaper); Circular agriculture: New and sustainable direction (Hai Duong Radio and Television Station); Application of high technology, sustainable agricultural development in Hai Duong (VOV Dong Bac).
The 6 works that won the C prize include: A series of articles on the potential of industrial parks in Hai Duong (Hai Duong Newspaper); A series of articles on bringing Thanh Ha litchi to conquer the international market (Industry and Trade Newspaper); For Hai Duong to develop to its full potential (Knowledge and Life Newspaper); Hai Duong promotes the exploitation of agricultural and rural tourism potential (MEKONG-ASEAN Magazine); a series of 4 articles on the protection plan for the construction of the 220kV Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant - 500kV Pho Noi Station transmission line project, as well as implementing policies for people in the affected area (Thanh Nien Newspaper); The journey of Hai Duong litchi to reach far (Hai Duong Radio and Television Station).
