Launching the 6th "For a Developing Hai Phong" journalism award

According to the Department of Information and Communications of Hai Phong, following the success of the 5th edition of the Press Award "For a Developed Hai Phong", in 2024 the Department chose the theme: Hai Phong - Aspiration for Development with the hope of receiving many good and quality press works.

The theme of the 2024 Press Awards aims to promote policies and resolutions for the development of Hai Phong City with the desire and determination to successfully implement the Resolution of the 16th City Party Congress with the goal: "By 2025, Hai Phong City will basically complete the industrialization and modernization; become a modern industrial city; be a key center for marine economic development, an international tourism center; complete the construction of the city's administrative - political center in the North Cam River Urban Area; improve the material and spiritual life of the people; ensure social order and safety, maintain national defense and security; have a clean, strong, streamlined Party organization and political system that operate effectively and efficiently; create a solid foundation to become a modern, civilized, and sustainable industrial city of the Southeast Asian region by 2030"; The article content shows strong changes in economic, cultural, social, human development, digital transformation, administrative reform and smart cities...

In addition, it vividly reflects all aspects of socio-economic life, proposes solutions to remove bottlenecks and bottlenecks in development, resolves existing problems in social life to create consensus among people and businesses in implementing policies and laws; functions of supervision and social criticism of activities of all levels, sectors and localities in the city; activities of the city's political system, encourages all classes of people to compete in labor production, work and study, and successfully complete the city's socio-economic programs.

The subjects participating in the Press Award are Vietnamese citizens whose press works are published and broadcast on media licensed by competent authorities for press activities, in accordance with the Award Rules. Authors participating in the Award must not violate the regulations on professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists, the Press Law and other current laws.

The press works participating in the award are those published and broadcast from January 1, 2024 to September 30, 2024, with discovery and creativity in content and images, contributing to spreading the image of Hai Phong City. The deadline for receiving works is September 30, 2024 (according to the postmark).

The preliminary round will take place from October 5-10, 2024, and the final round will take place from October 10-15, 2024. The summary, announcement and award ceremony is expected in November 2024.

The 2024 award structure includes 19 prizes, specifically: 02 A prizes, 03 B prizes, 04 C prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes. The winning authors and works will be awarded as follows: 02 A prizes: 20,000,000 VND and Certificate; 03 B prizes: Each prize is 10,000,000 VND and Certificate; 04 C prizes: Each prize is 5,000,000 VND and Certificate; 10 Encouragement prizes: Each prize is 2,000,000 VND and Certificate.
