On the afternoon of April 11, in Xieng Khouang province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, authorized by the Prime Minister, Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the Collection Team, Nghe An Provincial Military Command.
The Collection Team, Nghe An Provincial Military Command, was established on April 18, 1984, with the task of searching for and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane, Xay Som Bun (Laos) and in Nghe An province.

With great political responsibility and sacred sentiment, over the past 40 years, the Team has silently overcome dangers and hardships. Along with that, the officers and soldiers of the Quy Tap Team have closely coordinated with the Party Committee, government, people and armed forces of the neighboring country, actively propagandizing and mobilizing the people of Lao ethnic groups, surveying, searching and collecting the remains of martyrs.
Up to now, after 40 years of establishment, the unit has collected over 12,600 martyrs' remains in Laos and 472 martyrs' remains in the country.
During the mission, 9 officers and soldiers died, 13 were injured, 26 suffered from serious illnesses, and had lifelong disabilities. On the Lao side, 5 people died and 9 were injured during the coordination and search for martyrs' remains.
In recognition of its achievements, in 2001, the Collection Team, Nghe An Provincial Military Command was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the period of renovation by the State.
The unit was awarded the Third Class Military Exploit Medal, Third Class Military Exploit Medal, Second Class Labor Medal and many other noble awards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Pham Dinh Trung, Deputy Political Commissar of Nghe An Provincial Military Command, affirmed that the results that the Quy Tap Team has achieved over the past 40 years are the result of the determination and great efforts of generations of officers and soldiers in the entire Team.
In addition, the results achieved have been contributed by veterans, the enthusiastic support and assistance of the Lao government, armed forces and ethnic people; and the close leadership and direction of ministries, branches, localities and people.
Despite many efforts in searching and gathering, up to now, many remains of martyrs have not been found. This is the responsibility and sacred sentiment of the entire Party, people and army towards the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and performed noble international duties.

The Deputy Political Commissar of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command hopes that the Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, and organizations at all levels in general, and the officers and soldiers of the Collection Team in particular, in the coming time must continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, find many solutions to overcome difficulties, improve the quality and effectiveness of the search and collection of martyrs' remains, and meet the expectations of the martyrs' families and relatives.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister presented a Certificate of Merit to the Collection Team, Nghe An Provincial Military Command for their outstanding achievements in carrying out the task of searching, collecting and identifying martyrs' remains. The Provincial Military Command presented Certificates of Merit to 2 groups and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in carrying out the task of searching and collecting martyrs' remains.
