(Fatherland) - Within the framework of the activities of the 2024 Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Quang Tri province, the space displaying the culture of the Van Kieu and Pa Co ethnic groups attracted the attention of many people.
On the afternoon of November 18, at Dong Truong Son Hotel (Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province), the Exhibition "Ho Phuong Cultural Space and Highland Identity Art Photos by authors Ho Thanh Tho and Le Ngoc Tu" took place.
This is an activity organized within the framework of the activities of the Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Quang Tri province in 2024.
The Highland Identity Art Photography Exhibition introduces to the public the works of two authors Ho Thanh Tho and Le Ngoc Tu. Through the subtle perspectives of the two authors, every moment of daily life of ethnic minorities living in the mountainous region of the West of Quang Tri province becomes vivid, both familiar and sacred, recalling the spirit of long-standing traditional culture.
Meanwhile, Ho Phuong Cultural Space brings viewers interesting experiences about the culture of the Van Kieu and Pa Co ethnic groups on the majestic Truong Son mountain range.
This is the result of many years of painstaking research, collecting artifacts, and recording vivid stories about the lives, customs, practices, and beliefs of the Van Kieu and Pa Co ethnic groups by Mr. Ho Phuong.
The artifacts in the exhibition space are diverse and rich in types such as costumes, living utensils, production tools, musical instruments... of the Van Kieu and Pa Co ethnic groups.
Some traditional musical instruments of the Van Kieu and Pa Co people.
The A Mung blanket is made from natural materials by the Pa Co people.
Also in this space, people and tourists had unique cultural experiences with artisans and village elders attending the 2024 Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Quang Tri Province.
Experience making cakes of the Van Kieu people.
Delegates experience and demonstrate their talents with traditional musical instruments.
According to Mr. Ho Phuong, the activities at the exhibition are not only an opportunity for people to explore and experience unique cultural values, but also an opportunity to exchange and strengthen solidarity between communities, contributing to preserving and promoting the beauty of national culture in the new era.
“We hope that this exhibition will inspire, arouse pride and love for the homeland, and raise awareness of the responsibility to preserve and develop an advanced culture with strong national identity, especially the culture of ethnic minorities in Quang Tri province,” said Mr. Ho Phuong.
