Bringing Buddhism to ethnic minorities in Quang Tri province

Son Thanh Pagoda is a Buddhist temple located in Tan Thanh Commune, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province. The temple was only established in 2013, but has quickly attracted the attention of Buddhists from all over the country. The temple is located on a high hill, from which you can see the majestic natural scenery of mountains and forests and the gentle Se Pon River.

The architectural highlight of the pagoda is the 30m high statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, built in 2013. The abbot of Son Thanh pagoda is Venerable Thich Khong Giai, who has been attached to and doing Buddhist work here for more than 10 years.
