The entire Thu Duc City has 3 hospitals, 1 medical center, 32 ward health stations, all of which have traditional medicine clinics and have built 3 gardens to grow valuable medicinal herbs for scientific research, with an area of over 2,000m2 .
On the morning of October 20, Thu Duc City Party Committee (HCMC) held a conference to summarize 15 years of implementing Directive 24 of the 10th Party Central Committee Secretariat on developing Vietnamese Oriental Medicine and the Vietnam Oriental Medicine Association in the new situation.

After 15 years of implementing Directive 24, the traditional medicine network from Thu Duc City to the grassroots level has been gradually consolidated and developed, and the quality of traditional medicine combined with modern medicine has been increasingly focused on.
The entire Thu Duc City has 3 hospitals, 1 medical center, 32 ward health stations, all of which have traditional medicine clinics and have built 3 gardens to grow valuable medicinal herbs for scientific research, with an area of over 2,000m2 .
The number of patients examined and treated with traditional medicine is more than 4,000 people/day at hospitals in Thu Duc City. The traditional medicine department is increasingly promoting the effectiveness of examination and treatment with modern oriental medicine.

Up to now, Thu Duc City has 32 traditional medicine clinics; 10 private clinics with traditional medicine examination and treatment with more than 155 trained traditional medicine staff, the rate of medical examination is over 80%.
However, the Oriental Medicine Association and health stations still face many difficulties in building model herbal medicine gardens. Hospitals and health stations in wards still lack traditional medicine specialists and modern equipment for medical examination and treatment.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Thu Duc City Nguyen Phuoc Hung, requested the Party Committee, government, socio-political organizations, and the City Oriental Medicine Association to focus on strengthening the Department of Traditional Medicine in hospitals under Thu Duc City; improve the quality of examination and treatment using traditional medicine, combine traditional medicine with modern medicine; strengthen facilities, apply new scientific advances in caring for and protecting people's health.
At the same time, strengthen and develop the organization and network of traditional medicine at the grassroots level; research and propose synchronous policies and mechanisms to attract traditional medicine staff with good qualifications, capacity and qualities as well as promote training and fostering of traditional medicine staff and doctors...
On this occasion, Thu Duc City Party Committee commended 11 collectives and 19 individuals with many achievements in implementing Directive 24.
