The city will inspect the management of donations and sponsorships in 2023 at historical and cultural relics in the area to ensure transparency and create trust for the community.
In the plan issued on February 22, the city government said the inspection helps the owner or the party assigned to manage the relic to be transparent about donations and sponsorships; create trust and bring common benefits to the community.

The inspection includes receiving, managing, and using donations, funding for relics and festival activities in 2023; reviewing the opening of accounts, revenue and expenditure books, and use of donations... The relics inspected this time have been ranked by the state, or are on the inventory list according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage.
The Department of Finance is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant sectors to implement and complete before March 31 to report to the Ministry of Finance. The city also assigned the People's Committees of districts and Thu Duc City to inspect the management of donations and sponsorships at historical and cultural relics in the management area.
Currently, the state does not manage donations and sponsorships from religious organizations. The owner or the party assigned to manage the relic decides and is responsible for receiving, managing and using donations. The Ministry of Finance has issued a Circular guiding the management and financial collection and expenditure for festival organization and donations and sponsorships for relics and festival activities.
At the end of October last year, after piloting the inspection of the management and use of donation money in Quang Ninh, the Ministry of Finance instructed provinces and cities to inspect donation money at relics. The cost of the inspection work is taken from the regular budget estimate for 2024.
