Ho Chi Minh City rewards 40 outstanding press works in the second quarter of 2023

Accordingly, the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department has awarded 40 good and outstanding works about Ho Chi Minh City by 16 press agencies.

Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue said that these are journalistic works reflecting issues, current situations, positive models... taking place in practice with strong influence and impact on public opinion; the works have proposed solutions and suggestions to promote and replicate (for positive models) or promptly correct and handle (for existing and entangled issues), contributing to building an increasingly rich, civilized, modern, and humane city.

The awards are given in 7 categories: reportage, investigation, documentary, special page, column (8 million VND per article/series of articles); political commentary; photo reportage; multimedia journalism; new genres on electronic newspapers such as Infographic, video, podcast; forum posts in the press (5 million VND per article/series of articles/work); news - photos (3 million VND/work).

According to Mr. Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue, in order to promptly encourage the city's press team to become more mature, more courageous, more steadfast, and more experienced in the press, every quarter Ho Chi Minh City will consider and reward authors with good and outstanding articles, addressing issues of public interest, contributing to the active participation of authorities at all levels, departments and branches.
