Ho Chi Minh City issues detailed plan to develop waterway tourism products

In 2024, the City will focus on developing short-range waterway tourism routes such as: Waterway tourism route departing from the Vietnamese Starship (District 7) to the inner city in District 7; short-range route from the Vietnamese Starship wharf (District 7) to Nha Be district. Waterway tourism route departing from Bach Dang wharf (District 1) to Binh Quoi - Thanh Da peninsula, Binh Thanh district, Binh Khanh wharf connected to Ham Long Artist Village, Van Phuc Urban Area, Thu Duc City. Waterway tourism route departing from Bach Dang wharf (District 1) to Districts 4, 8, 5, 6 (route from Bach Dang wharf - Saigon River - Te canal - Tau Hu canal to Binh Dong wharf or continuing along Doi canal - Binh Dong communal house - Binh Dien wholesale market), combined with electric cars to Hai Thuong Lan Ong traditional medicine quarter, Soai Kinh Lam fabric market, Cho Lon, Chinese Assembly Halls). Inland waterway tourism route in Nha Be district (route direction from Phuoc Khanh wharf - Soai Rap river...).

Developing medium-range waterway tourism routes such as the waterway tourism route departing from Ngoi Sao Viet wharf (District 7) to Can Gio district associated with sea tourism. The waterway tourism route departing from Phuoc Khanh wharf (Nha Be district) to Can Gio district, connecting to Can Giuoc district (Long An). Develop waterway tourism routes from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta provinces: Long An, Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, An Giang to Cambodia and vice versa.
