Summary and award ceremony of the online contest "Learning about the law on mediation at the grassroots level" in the province in 2024

On November 28, the Provincial People's Committee organized a summary and award ceremony for the online contest "Learning about the law on grassroots mediation" in the province in 2024.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Truong Huy presented awards to representatives of the winning groups.

The online contest "Learning about the law on mediation at the grassroots level" in Cao Bang province in 2024 takes place from September 15, 2024 to October 30, 2024 at the website: https://timhieuphapluatcaobang.com

The Standing Agency of the Contest (Department of Justice) coordinates with agencies, units, and localities to carry out information and propaganda work about the Contest in many forms: posting banners and links of the Contest on the Provincial LegalEducation and Dissemination Information Page; creating infographics with visual and concise information for propaganda on the Cao Bang Provincial Legal Education and Dissemination fanpage, social networking platforms... Units and localities actively propagate, mobilize, and encourage subjects within the scope and management area to participate and respond to the Contest.

The scope of the questions includes contents related to the Law on Grassroots Mediation 2013; Decree No. 15/2014/ND-CP dated February 27, 2014 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Grassroots Mediation; Civil Code 2015; Land Law 2024; Law on Marriage and Family 2014; Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence 2022.

Contestants include mediators of mediation teams; non-professional workers in hamlets and residential groups; people directly involved in activities in hamlets and residential groups (including members of security and order protection teams; heads of women's associations; heads of farmers' associations; heads of veterans' associations; secretaries of youth unions...) and prestigious people among ethnic minorities. Localities with high numbers of participants include: City, Quang Hoa, Trung Khanh, Bao Lac, Hoa An...

After the implementation and launching period, the Contest attracted over 7,000 contestants with over 11,000 entries, of which 1,847 entries answered 20/20 multiple choice questions correctly (reaching a rate of 16.8%).

Director of the Department of Justice Ban Thanh Hien presented awards to individuals.

The Organizing Committee recognized the results and awarded prizes to 34 collectives and 46 individuals. Of which, individual prizes include 1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 15 third prizes, and 25 consolation prizes. Collective prizes include 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 10 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes. The first collective prize belongs to the People's Committee of Cao Chuong Commune (Trung Khanh); the first individual prize belongs to Dinh Van Thuan, Khuoi Cap Hamlet, Thuy Hung Commune (Thach An).
