On June 8, a working delegation from the Department of Vehicles and Machinery, General Department of Engineering, led by Major General Duong Xuan Nam, Director of the Department of Vehicles and Machinery, inspected the technical work of vehicles and machinery at the 131st Naval Engineering Brigade. Attending the working session with the delegation were the head of the Naval Engineering Department and representatives of a number of functional agencies of the Navy.
Over the past years, the 131st Engineering Brigade has comprehensively deployed all aspects of vehicle and machinery engineering work in accordance with the guidance of the General Department of Engineering. The unit has seriously implemented the plan, targets, output, and technical budget for the vehicle and machinery industry, closely following the requirements of the task.
The Brigade was equipped and purchased with new generation vehicles and machines, so the quality was improved one step further. The Brigade Technical Department did a good job of advising, directing, and comprehensively implementing all aspects of vehicle and machine technical work, completing the planned targets, ensuring efficiency and timeliness for training and construction; the discipline of vehicle and machine technical work had positive changes.

Through the actual inspection, the working group highly appreciated the technical work of the Brigade's vehicles and machinery, which was organized and implemented closely and effectively; preservation, maintenance, and timely synchronous repair, ensuring technical coefficients and traffic safety. Books, documents, and registrations were fully and strictly recorded...
Concluding the inspection, Major General Duong Xuan Nam, Director of the Vehicle and Machinery Department, requested the 131st Engineering Brigade to strengthen the education of the Road Traffic Law and driving ethics for drivers and mechanics. Organize the effective implementation of Resolution No. 382 of the Central Military Party Committee (now the Central Military Commission) on leading technical work in the new situation. Regularly check the technical condition of vehicles and machinery before, during and after participating in traffic; take measures to ensure good technical condition of engineering vehicles and machinery, warehouses, workshops, technical areas, construction equipment; strictly implement the inspection regime and improve the quality of preservation... to meet the requirements of training tasks and combat readiness.
