On October 24, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary and Secretary of the Central Military Commission To Lam received Senior Lieutenant General Truong Huu Hiep, Politburo member and Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China, who is visiting and working in Vietnam.

Senior Lieutenant General Truong Huu Hiep in concretizing the common perception between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, contributing to strengthening defense and security cooperation as one of the important pillars of Vietnam-China relations, and at the same time conveying greetings and best wishes to General Secretary, President of China, Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping.
The General Secretary congratulated China on its great achievements in the 75 years of founding and building the People's Republic of China, especially since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, completing the first 100-year goal and moving towards the second 100-year goal, promoting an increasingly active role in peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
Senior Lieutenant General Truong Huu Hiep expressed his joy at visiting Vietnam for the first time in his capacity as Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission; respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary, President, Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping to General Secretary, Secretary of the Central Military Commission To Lam; congratulated the socio-economic achievements that Vietnam has made over 40 years of renovation; expressed his belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will certainly successfully achieve the two goals of the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding and the founding of the country.

General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party, State, Army and people of Vietnam always appreciate and remember the great assistance of the Party, State, Army and people of China in the revolutionary cause, the struggle for independence and national liberation in the past as well as in building socialism today.
General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the cooperation between the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense of the two countries in recent times; suggested that the two countries' armies need to promote higher political trust through regular meetings and exchanges between leaders of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense of the two countries, and effectively implement cooperation mechanisms between the two sides.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two armies strengthen cooperation, coordinate to better control and handle disagreements, maintain peace and stability at sea; resolve disagreements by peaceful means, ensuring compliance with high-level common perceptions and international law, contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world.
Senior Lieutenant General Truong Huu Hiep affirmed that China always attaches importance to the traditional friendship between the two Parties, two countries and two armies.
