The Vietnam Glory Program is a special political, cultural and social event honoring the national spirit, love for the Fatherland, and spreading typical examples with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement, in the cause of building and defending the country.
Since its first organization in 2004, the program has honored 258 outstanding groups and individuals, becoming one of the annual hallmarks of the Trade Union organization.
This year, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation, welcoming the Congress of trade unions at all levels for the 2023-2028 term, the Vietnam Glory program honors 16 collectives and individuals - typical examples of the spirit of overcoming difficulties and creativity, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, typical representatives of the will to be self-reliant and the aspiration to develop the country, bringing glory to the Fatherland.
Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien highly appreciated and welcomed the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for its initiative to organize the Vietnam Glory program to honor and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements. This will create a widespread influence in society, attracting the working class and working people to enthusiastically compete, achieve outstanding achievements, and contribute to building and defending the Fatherland.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Do Van Chien acknowledged, commended and congratulated the honored collectives and individuals. According to comrade Do Van Chien, these are ordinary, close people but have devoted themselves, devoted their efforts, and aspired to contribute their strength to the community and society. They were honored, voted closely and convincingly, very much appreciated, truly a source of pride and great inspiration for us to learn and follow.
The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front stated that it is forecasted that in the coming time, our country will continue to face many difficulties and challenges; advantages will be intertwined with difficulties, in which there will be more difficulties than advantages, requiring us to be highly determined, take drastic actions, and organize more extensive emulation movements to be able to complete the goals and tasks set out in 2023.
He suggested that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor continue to study and thoroughly grasp the content of Directive 34-CT/TU of the Politburo on continuing to innovate emulation and reward work; deeply imbue Ho Chi Minh's thought on patriotic emulation: "To love the country, one must compete, those who compete are the most patriotic". From there, encourage cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to actively respond to patriotic emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, together with the whole country to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and strive to exceed the targets and plans for 2023.
Along with that, the Trade Unions at all levels need to focus on deploying and effectively implementing Resolution 02-NQ/TU of the Politburo on innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation, building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization. From there, play the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of trade union members, acting as a solid bridge between the Party and the working class and working people.
In particular, further expanding and enhancing the Vietnam Glory program to become a strong driving force, promoting and attracting the working class and laborers to promote the spirit of creative labor, contributing efforts together with the entire Party, people and army to realize the aspiration of building a strong and developed Vietnam, where our people can have a prosperous and happy life.
