At 102 years old, 85 years in the Party, and more than 65 years of revolutionary activities, General Nguyen Quyet has devoted his entire life to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Assigned to hold many important leadership positions in the cause of national liberation as well as the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, he has always excellently fulfilled all tasks assigned by the Party, State, Army and People.

In each revolutionary period, he left a strong impression, typically as: the decisive, courageous, and creative Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee in the August Revolution; the steadfast and heroic commander of Inter-Zone 5 in the resistance war against the French; the Commander of Military Zone 3 who "got rich and won" in the resistance war against the US; a military man and politician with correct decisions that won the hearts of the people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Farewell comrade with infinite sorrow, I would like to send my deepest condolences to all of your family.
