Comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Ba Hung - Director of the Department of Information and Communications co-chaired the conference. The conference was connected online to 21 connecting points in districts, cities and towns.
Opening the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that the conference was held to comprehensively evaluate the implementation of Resolution 09 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and Plan No. 586 of the Provincial People's Committee on digital transformation by 2025.
In recent times, departments, branches, Party committees and authorities at all levels have made efforts to implement the above two documents and the implementation of digital transformation tasks has changed. However, this change has not met the requirements, has not achieved the set goals, and many indicators have been low. It is necessary to evaluate and frankly acknowledge the results achieved, from which solutions can be found to implement digital transformation.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized the view: Digital transformation is a central, continuous, breakthrough task, requiring synchronous engagement and participation of the entire political system, all levels and sectors to implement digital transformation contents.
On the other hand, digital transformation must take people and businesses as the center, goal and driving force. Digital transformation must be implemented continuously, persistently, substantially and effectively, avoiding formalities and wasting resources; taking solid steps associated with innovation, suitable for the reality in each stage and conditions of each industry and locality; associated with administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province, ensuring the goal of rapid and sustainable development.
With the purpose and importance of digital transformation and the practical implementation of digital transformation in the province over the past year, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung proposed that the conference frankly and objectively acknowledge the results achieved, shortcomings, limitations, difficulties, problems, tasks and solutions in the coming time for effective and substantive digital transformation.
Emphasizing the responsibility of leaders in digital transformation, the head of the Provincial People's Committee requested heads of agencies and units to pay attention to mobilizing cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to participate in digital transformation, thereby raising awareness and creating a spreading effect among the people.
At the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung launched the "National Digital Transformation Day". On April 22, 2022, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 505 and took October 10 every year as the National Digital Transformation Day with the meaning of numbers 1 and 0 being two digits of the binary number system - the language of information technology and digital technology; associated with digital transformation is the process of overall and comprehensive change of individuals and organizations in the way of life, working and production methods based on digital technologies.
National Digital Transformation Day will be an annual activity to evaluate the digital transformation results of ministries, branches and localities during the year and share experiences and new approaches to accelerate the national digital transformation process.
National Digital Transformation Day not only welcomes, honors, and rewards organizations and individuals who have participated in the national digital transformation process, but is also a milestone to evaluate annual digital transformation activities.
The Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 634 dated August 29, 2023 on organizing the National Digital Transformation Day 2023 in Nghe An province with the theme "Exploiting digital data to create value".
